Robin Cohen is Managing Partner of Dickstein Shapiro’s New York office, a member of the Firm’s five-person Compensation Committee, and a member of the executive working committee of the Women’s Leadership Initiative. Recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential Women Lawyers in America by the National Law Journal, she focuses her practice on representing insureds in complex insurance coverage matters in federal and state courts throughout the country and on counseling clients nationwide on insurance coverage and related matters. 

According to Lawdragon, Ms. Cohen is “a top-flight advocate for insurance clients” and “she has recovered over $1 billion in disputed policy claims.” She has substantial litigation and trial experience and has handled some of the largest coverage cases for a wide range of clients nationally, including in New York, New Jersey, California, and Illinois. The 2006 Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business states that Ms. Cohen “is always strategic and very thorough in her approach - she is someone you can trust for the truly large matters.” In the 2008 edition, she is described as “diligent, articulate, and quick,” as well as “clear and communicative.” She is also focused on women’s leadership issues and engages in activities to promote the advancement of women into leadership positions in the legal industry, as well as other professions, and is a frequent speaker and writer on the subject.
